In this meeting, we’ll discuss our process and practices, conduct your lifestyle assessment and get a feel for your overall vision, design and budget.
A great design is in the initial details. We’ll use this meeting to build on your preliminary plan and work through budget vs. ingredients. Our goal is to make sure that you’re getting not only the home you want, but the home that best suits your lifestyle. Once these elements are in place, we can start building out our project timeline.
Ready to see what your home will look like? This is it! In this phase, we’ll conduct a meeting with our Home-Plan Designer to complete your custom plans, iron-out the details and make sure it fits within your preliminary budget. Once the plans have been approved, we’ll secure the proper permits for the construction process. H.O.W. has been operating in Virginia for decades, so we have a wealth of experience dealing with local and state permit procurement processes.
Now things begin to get real when we break ground. We keep you informed through the major steps. Your input is key. Using a design/build firm means that the construction process is much more straight-forward and simple. Prior to construction numerous hours are spent in planning and sharing the details with every member of the team. Every detail is important. All of our team members will work together to ensure that forward progress is continually happening, that you’re satisfied with the results, and that any bumps along the way are quickly corrected.
During this time your site manager will walk you through an orientation of your new home and answer any questions you may have. Should any concerns arise during the walk-through your site manager will document and have one of our partner team members make any needed adjustment. (This is a great time for you to examine your home for items to be corrected or adjusted.) We appreciate your second set of eyes!
